WoW Shadowlands Patch 9.1.5 is an interim update that does not require as much testing as a major patch

If you die screen death in the online role-playing game World of Warcraft, you wake up in ghost form at the nearest cemetery. This is followed by a more or less long walk to the corpse of your character, where you can revive yourself. These marches have taken many players together and have already taken many hours. But a remedy is in sight - in the form of the new update 9.1.5.

The developers from Blizzard Entertainment have taken to the official World of Warcraft site to share a development update message, aimed to bring players up to speed on what is going to be changing in the game in the nearest future.

  •     Shadowlands update 9.1.5 will be hitting PTR this week, including long-asked-for changes to covenants and conduits, updates to alts, and new Allied Race customization.
  •     Meanwhile, the Burning Crusade Classic servers will be receiving the first major update Overlords of Outland very soon. Starting September 15, you’ll be able to take on Prince Kael’thas and Lady Vashj in a pair of iconic raids, engage in a new season of Arena combat, and more.
  •     The team is also working on something for WoW Classic players who would like a chance at a fresh start

Patch 9.1.5 is an interim update that does not require as much testing as a major patch. However, the features are plentiful with the quick congregation change, changes to BFA loot, trasmogrification improvements, or even quality of life improvements.

New features of WoW 9.1.5

The World of Warcraft new patch features and that once your Renown is high enough, you will be able to freely swap Covenants without any need of cooldowns, and also there will be no restrictions. Also, you will even be able to make use of rewards you’ve earned from your past Covenant. Also in World of Warcraft’s new patch, conduit energy will be removed. It will no longer be a load on the players, and the conduits can be easily exchanged with no limitations. If you have finished the Covenant campaign on an alt earlier on, any future alts will no longer be required to complete the campaign and will be allowed to get the Renown and third Soulbind from the campaign. However, there is a small catch: The effect only works in the standard areas of the Shadowlands - in the Ardenwald, Maldraxxus, Revendreth and Bastion. Both in the gullet and in the relatively new area of Korthia you must continue to march on foot as a ghost. Since these regions are structured less nested, the frustration with the "ghost wanderings" is limited there.

The patch will come out twice. The first time it will be released is over the next couple days, hopefully between Thursday 9th September and Monday 13th September 2021.
