The World of Warcraft team is looking for a better way to receive player feedback, and today they announced one -- the WoW Community Council. The goal of the council, according to a post by Blizzard, is to gather more detailed feedback on all facets of the game.

“The World of Warcraft community is second to none with the passion, love, and excitement you all show to the game,” Blizzard said. “Player feedback impacts all aspects of the game, and with such a wide range of opinions, playstyles, and interests out there, gathering and understanding feedback is more important than ever.”

Here’s how it works.

•         All participants must submit their proposals.
•     Once players have been selected, they can post in a new discussion forum that is public-responsible to everyone.
•         This new forum enables everyone to share their experiences and perspectives on any game that they have already had; and some topics might be already discussed by Blizzard developers and community managers.
•         Blizzard’s response and update will be posted there so that everyone is easily able to discuss them.
•     A private forum is arranged for the Council member and can be used to encourage direct interaction between members.
•     Separate discussions between smaller group members and Blizzard developers are going to encourage players with different perspectives to be heard.

These could take shape of live chats between Members of the Council and WoW.

This forum will be available to all the selected members and the WoW team but will be visible to the public, although they will not be able to share any comments directly into the thread.

Once players are selected for the program, they’ll be given the ability to post in a new discussion forum that will be publicly visible to everyone.

In this forum, the council will be asked to share their “experiences” and “perspectives” on anything related to the game. Some discussions and topics will be started by Blizzard devs and community managers.
